Tell us and we’ll look at it. There’s no ticket system and no account to make — a public tracker, a discussion board, and an email address that a person reads.
One request: please don’t paste private reading content into a public issue. Timber keeps what you read on your device, and the tracker is open to everyone. A short description of the article or file is plenty.
Before you write
Voice packs are large — some run to a few hundred megabytes — and they want a stable connection and room on the device. If one stalls, keep Timber open and on screen while it runs, then try again on Wi-Fi. Retrying is safe: Timber won’t leave a half-finished voice installed.
Timber pulls the article out of a page and leaves the navigation and ads behind. Some pages fight that — hard paywalls, apps that build their text after loading, and pages that are mostly video. The reader shows a confidence gauge when extraction was uncertain. If a page you care about comes out wrong, send the URL and we’ll look at it.
Library sync uses your own iCloud account, and it’s optional. Both devices need to be signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on. On a free Apple Account without the right provisioning, Timber falls back to local-only and keeps working — the library just doesn’t travel.
Tabs reads your open tabs either directly from the browser or through its browser extension, depending on which browser it is and how you installed Tabs. Firefox always needs the extension. If a browser you have open isn’t listed, tell us which one and which version.
Timber Pro unlocks with a one-time code that carries across devices. On iPhone or iPad open Settings → Pro; on the Mac open Settings → Redeem code.
No, on both counts. There’s no account to create, and the core reader — including a set of free voices — works without paying for anything. Pro is optional and adds to that; it doesn’t gate the reading.

No Mac needed
Timber Tabs isn’t only a Mac app. The extension does the same job on its own, right inside your browser, with no Mac involved.
Add it to Chrome or Edge, or to Firefox.
Open the extension and choose Review & pick. Keep the tabs you want, then save the file. It’s named something like tabs-2026-09-14.timberlist.
Easiest way: save it to iCloud Drive. iCloud for Windows is a free download from the Microsoft Store, and once it’s set up, Chrome and Edge remember that folder in the save dialog. You can also just email the file to yourself.
On your iPhone, open Timber, tap Add, then Import tabs, and pick the file. Or tap the file straight from Mail or Files and choose Timber.
The free Mac app still gets you there in one click, syncing to your iPhone through iCloud automatically. Worth a look if you ever do sit down at a Mac.
Timber is built to work with the setup you already have — VoiceOver, Larger Text, Increase Contrast, Differentiate Without Color, Reduce Motion, and a dyslexia-friendly reading mode. If something in the app doesn’t cooperate with yours, that’s a bug worth filing, and we’d like to hear about it.
